Additional Early Release

Please notice that we have an additional early release this month. Students will be released on January 12 at 1:35, and on January 20 at 12:00.

Counter Act

This week your child had his/her first Counter Act class. Did you hear about it? Counter Act is a program offered by the Lake Geneva Police Department. Two officers come to discuss different situations your child may one day face. Students are given strategies to use to resist those who encourage them to participate in dangerous behaviors. Each fifth grader was given a workbook for this six week experience. Look for a homework assignment from this workbook each week. The first assignment was sent home on Wednesday, January 4. The expectation for these weekly assignments is that you and your child will complete them together. This will allow for great conversations about the important topics discussed each week. Also, don’t forget to mark your calendar for Wednesday, February 8, at 6p.m. for the Counter act Celebration!

Winter Gear

Please be sure your child is coming to school prepared for the cold. Each child needs a warm jacket, hat/hood, and gloves. Boots are a must if there's snow. Also, any child wishing to play in the field when there's snow must have snowpants. Brrrrr......
